Apollo 11, Buzz Aldrin on his knees just inside the egress hatch. Looks to me like he'll fit through. You know, it's actually believed by some that Stanley Kubrick was hired to film this landing on a sound stage.

After the Apollo 11 lunar EVA, Neil and Buzz settled in for a scheduled sleep period for which they remained sealed up in their suits. Buzz slept on the floor while Neil sat on top of the ascent engine cover. They got very little sleep.

A suited astronaut sitting on the floor of the LM appears to be asleep. Notice the legs of the other astronaut sitting opposite him. This photo taken through the open egress hatch. They appear to be testing sleeping positions.

Here is a suited astronaut crawling through the lunar module egress hatch in a training exercise. Egress training was also conducted aboard the Vomit Comet and in the Neutral Boyancy Facility, sometimes with or without the backpack.

It is very basic to the process of designing ANY air or spacecraft, to build a long succession of ergonomic mockups of crew compartments and the entire vehicle, for that matter. This is how they defined the amount of room needed for crew members to perform all tasks required of them. They also use the mockup as a testbed for the placement of equipment and determine that controls are within reach. This process would begin on paper and proceed to plywood and actual materials. Wire runs, mounting methods and assembly sequence design are aided by these studies as well.

Allegedly, it is not possible for both astronauts to don their lunar EVA gear inside, and NASA never checked to see if they would fit through the egress hatch with their life support back packs on.

The logic is that if there wasn't room in the LEM for the astronauts, clearly the moon landings would have been impossible and all we have been told of this is a lie.

Some Moon Hoaxer somewhere said that the head of NASA said the astronauts never tested to see if they would fit in the LEM wearing space suits, so one proof of a landing hoax is that it is impossible for them to fit in the lander suited up.
